Agents who are changing the world by inspiring one kid at a time.

MISSION STATEMENT

It is our mission to inspire the freshly uninhibited minds by offering an unorthodox approach to learning. Creating a safe space where diversity and equality is embraced, encouraged, and respected.  Our children will be allowed to demand and take ownership of their space and their education. ICA believes in facilitating long-lasting and healthy relationships with our students and their family members where all are equally supported.

About Us

Inspired Change Agents (ICA) has been designed to spark the academic interest of children.

We are a family child care home that serves children between the ages of 0-5 years old.  Our goal is to inspire and support the family unit.  To design and implement diverse educational experiences.  We are located in a friendly and safe housing development known as Savannah Commons.  The home is tucked away in a lovely, warm, and secured cul-de-sac.  We are easily accessible to all 3 levels of education, starting with the closest J.M. Robinson, Pitts School Road Elementary School, and Roberta Road Middle School. All are within 10 minutes or less away.

Meet the Owner

I describe myself as an organizer, planner and most importantly a problem solver.

I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Child Development and Family Relations in 2001.  Since then, I have worked for the Howell Center, a residential facility for children and adults with special needs.  I left there to teach for Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Schools.  I taught students with behavioral and emotional disorders.  After working for them for 3 years I began teaching in Cabarrus County Public Schools.  My last employment was at a Charter school in Charlotte, NC, teaching high school students in the Occupational Course of Studies program. I am a believer in service, serving others and my community.  I have enjoyed supporting families and children with disabilities.  I have made it my mission to develop and educate children through community recreational sports as a basketball coach, church musician and of course an educator.  My passion has always been and will continue to be children and families through my gifts and talents.
